Meet Our Director
Hello! My name is Lena, and I am the center director at Riverpoint Nurturing Nook. I hold a master’s degree in communication from Canada and have a strong background in early childhood education. My career began in the classroom, where I developed a deep understanding of child development before moving into leadership roles. After earning my administrator credential from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I stepped into the role of center director, where I now support and mentor educators while building meaningful connections with families.
Since joining Nurturing Nook at the end of last year, I’ve been proud to work alongside a team of passionate and dedicated professionals committed to shaping young minds.
Fluent in three languages and an avid traveler, I love exploring different cultures—especially through their cuisine—which enriches my perspective and enhances my ability to connect with diverse families and staff.
Meet Our Director
Hello, and welcome to The Nurturing Nook – RiverPoint! My name is Keri, and I am the Executive Director. I grew up and have lived in Wisconsin (Ozaukee County) all but two years of my life. My mom was an elementary school teacher and as I watched her dedication, passion and devotion to helping teach and shape the lives of her students, I knew early on that I wanted to work with children. I started my degree at UW-Parkside and then finished and earned my BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Science from Concordia College – Wisconsin. I have been in the early childhood field since 1990 and have held a variety of positions including Kindergarten Teacher for two years in Reno, NV, Toddler Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Center Director and Administrator and most recently Executive Director. I have been with The Nurturing Nook since February 2017. Prior to being here, I worked for KinderCare (Children’s World and Seton) for 24 years. I believe that we have the opportunity to make an impactful difference as we work together as educators to help shape the minds of the young children we work with. I have been married since 1991 and have a son, daughter and five grandchildren, four of which have or currently attend The Nurturing Nook! We enjoy spending time with our family (including our Old English Bulldog, Zoey) and making memories to last a lifetime with our grandchildren.
